The Nur Ashki Jerrahi Order of Hawaii began in 1993 at
the request of Sheikh Nur al-Jerrahi (Lex Hixon).when
he visited Reyhan and her family, who had just moved
to Hawaii. 

Since Nur's passing in 1995, the Hawaii
Circle has continued with the generous support and loving guidance of Sheikh Nur's spiritual heirs,
Sheikha Fariha al-Jerrahi of New York City,
and Sheikha Amina Teslima al-Jerrahi of Mexico City.

Reyhan is a dervish of Sheikh Muzaffer Ozak
al-Jerrahi, having taken hand with him in 1981
at the age of 23, and subsequently, after his
passing, with Sheikh Safer Efendi in Istanbul
in 1985, and renewing hand with Sheikh Nur
al-Jerrahi in 1993, and Sheikha Fariha and
Sheikha Amina in 1996.
